Fun

Narrative as an Interactive Vehicle
This is a story told using Macromedia Director. The goal for this interactive story was to have at least two characters, three possible outcomes. It was created over two days. The purpose of this exercise was to use Director and have some fun.

Process
-Identify a good and archetypal story.
-Identify an appropriate visual style for the story.
-Storyboard, including cues for "Sit and Watch" and "Interact"
with timing and character, rather than text and buttons.
-Code and animate in Director.
-Balance the relationship between content and spectacle.g process.

Design
Based on audience response, I've confirmed that the power of a good story, well told, outweighs showbiz every time (unless you're James Cameron). I have chosen to include it not only to show a little bit of my talent, but also a little bit of me. It is a morality tale, of sorts, reminding us to keep our priorities straight, stay true to ourselves, and in so doing create, rather than destroy, opportunity for growth.
