Needle, Feather and Bone, 1984

Five life-size northern bobwhite quail perched on a sun-bleached
steer skull. Everything,skull, cactus, toad hidden in the eye were carved
from wood by the artist. It took Ernie approximately 45 days to carve this
piece which stands over 4' high. This carving is now on display
at the Ward Foundation Museum in Salisbury, Maryland.
